Lewisburg Arts Council Events 2008April 25 - May 4: Lewisburg Arts Festival39th Annual Lewisburg Arts Festival, April 25 to May 10, 2008 - A two-week-long celebration of the arts that is the biggest LAC event and a highlight of the Lewisburg calendar. The Festival is bracketed by events on all three weekends: the Market Street Festival - art, entertainment, and food all along Market Street - on Saturday, April 26; Lewisburg Live! - 14 bands in venues throughout downtown - on Saturday, May 3; and the Susquehanna Shorts Film Festival and "Seussical: the Musical" for kids on the weekend of May 9-10. In between there are art and photography exhibits, performances, workshops, and demonstrations. For details on each event, please click on the link below. Learn more about the arts festival Wednesday nights June 4 - August 27: Music in the ParkA series of weekly outdoor live music concerts in Hufnagle Park, downtown Lewisburg. All concerts are free and open to the public. Friday, July 11: Sidewalk Chalk FestivalAn evening of drawing on the sidewalk! Children and adults can enter their work for prizes; a professional artist also demonstrates. Friday and Saturday, November 7-8: Stroll Through the Arts WeekendFriday night is the Stroll Through the Arts, with artists demonstrating in shops throughout downtown Lewisburg, and a Silent Auction of art to benefit the Arts Council. Saturday night is Dance to the Music, with multiple bands in venues all over town. All events are free and open to the public.
