Stroll Through the Arts

Lewisburg’s Stroll Through the Arts – developed and sponsored by the Lewisburg Arts Council – In 2005 we had over 50 businesses and artists participating in the event. The Council organizes and promotes the event. It is viewed as a highly successful collaboration between the businesses and the arts. Over 50 places of business extend their hours on the first Friday in November and host a local artist. The artist displays their works and must be there to discuss the techniques used, etc. It is wonderful exposure for the artists and the shops feel it is a festive, exciting event which jump starts the Holiday season. We also conduct our Silent Auction that night. Items are donated by the local businesses and the artists during the Market Street Festival. It is the only other fund raiser which we have during the year. In 2005 the Campus Theatre also began the documentary film festival on the evening of the Stroll which added additional activity for Lewisburg.
