DESCRIPTION:The Lewisburg Arts Council’s Annual Members’ Show turns 10 this year, and we’re throwing a party!  \nYou don’t have to be an artist yourself – or even an Arts Council member – to join us on Thursday, February 8, from 5:30 to 7:30, at the Public Library for Union County, 255 Reitz Blvd., Lewisburg, for the show’s Opening Reception.  \nPlease join us as we celebrate the many artists and volunteers who have contributed to the show for the past ten years!  \nEnjoy light refreshments as you check out the artwork on display, meet other area creatives who share your interests, and learn about the Arts Council’s exciting plans for the coming year.\nLewisburg Arts Council Board Members will be on hand to chat about our events, activities, and special-interest groups, as well as how you can get involved in bringing the arts to our community.\nAt 6:00, Arts Council President Della Hutchison will have a very special announcement about the Featured Artist for our upcoming annual Lewisburg Festival Arts.\nCan’t make the reception?  The show is open to the public from February 2 through the 28th during the library’s regular hours:  M, T, Th 9:30 am to 8:30 pm and W, F, Sat 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.\nStop by “Gallery 255” at the library on Tuesdays in February between 11 AM and 1 PM, when representatives will be available to engage with the public and to answer questions about the artwork, the Lewisburg Arts Council, the Photography Club, and the Artists’ Guild.  \nNo matter whether they are just beginning their artistic journey or have been honing their art form for years, all who were Lewisburg Arts Council members in 2023 are eligible to participate in the February show.  \nIMPORTANT DATES\n\nSaturday, January 27, 2024 – Online registration closes. After registering online you will be assigned a time slot to drop off your artwork between 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.\nThursday, February 8, 2024 – Reception from 5:30 p.m – 7:30 p.m. at the library.\nThursday, February 29, 2024 – 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon.
