SUMMARY:Plein Air Event for Painters and Photographers
DESCRIPTION:The Lewisburg Arts Council is presenting Majestic Rural Pennsylvania, an exhibit by the Farmland Preservation Artists of Central Pennsylvania ( https://lewisburgartscouncil.com/events/majestic-rural-pennsylvania/ ). This exhibit will be on display at The Gallery throughout the month of May. Opening day is on May 3. The day includes a “Shoot and Paint” from 1:00 – 3:00 pm and the opening reception from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.\nAt 1:00 pm, plein air artist Susan Nicholas Gephart will give a live demo. Susan is an excellent presenter, you won’t want to miss it! After her demo artists are invited to paint and take photographs in the gallery courtyard, garden and nearby areas such as Soldier’s Park across the street or around Lewisburg.\nArtists and photographers who participate in the “Shoot and Paint” are invited to enter a show of their artwork which will be held at The Gallery, 15 N. Water St., Lewisburg, PA during the month of June. Any piece of artwork or photograph done at the “Shoot and Paint” or later finished in the studio can be entered in the show. You can also return to these sites during the month of May to complete your work or start some more.\nTo enter the June art show, please register here. Registration will open after the May 3rd event.\nPlease read the rules and guidelines for the Plein Air Event and the June Show. You must register online to be part of the show.\nPlease bring your own art supplies for the “Shoot and Paint” event on May 3rd at 1pm. The event is free to attend. Registration is required. All participants must be age 18+.\n\n
