SUMMARY:Creatology for Kids Workshop Series
DESCRIPTION:In these exciting, creative thinking workshops, campers will learn how to develop and extend their creativity through the use of fluent, flexible, original thinking skills. A variety of stimulating hands-on projects give campers the chance to apply these skills to age appropriate creative thinking and problem solving challenges. These dynamic, interactive workshops are designed to bring out a child’s unique perspective and allows him/her to think outside the box in a fun-filled setting.\nAll materials are provided for this workshop. Registration is for all three dates:  Saturday, November 8th, 15th, and 22nd from 10:30am to 12pm. Open to 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. Please submit one form for each child, registration is limited to 12 students.\nInstructor: Kathryn Irwin Lentz\nKathy is a retired educator and long-standing member of the Lewisburg community. She is a graduate of Juniata College with a B.S. in Elementary Education and also earned her Masters’ in Education from Bucknell University. With a lifelong desire to teach, her “career” began as a child, when she created an annual summer, play school for the younger children in her West Lawn neighborhood. Her professional career began as an elementary teacher in the Selinsgrove Area School District where she taught Grades 3, 4 and 5 and also served for 18 years as the K-5 gifted support teacher. She retired after 32 years of service and went on to teach future teachers through the Intern Program at Susquehanna University. She also served as creator and founding director of Susquehanna University’s Kids’ College for more than 15 years. She is excited to have the opportunity to work with the Lewisburg Arts Council to help launch educational offerings to students throughout the area.\n\n
