Photo Trip: Jim Thorpe (Member Only)

Join us on a photo trip to historic Jim Thorpe, PA. Filled with history, architecture, and scenic views…it’s a photographer’s delight!

Where: Historic Jim Thorpe, PA

When:

• We will depart Lewisburg at 8:30am
• Arrival time in Jim Thorpe is approximately 10am
• We will plan to depart around 3:00pm to return to Lewisburg by 4:30pm

What to wear and bring:

• Good walking shoes. There are many steep hills in Jim Thorpe, be prepared to walk several miles.
• Camera gear! Of course.
• Bring a light lunch in a cooler or be prepared to purchase lunch/snacks from one of the downtown businesses.

Photo Ops:

• Scenic views of the river and mountains
• Historic buildings including the Old Jail, Asa Packer Mansion and Harry Packer Mansion
• Downtown streets – great street photography opportunity
• Train station and train

We highly recommend carpooling for this photo trip. Parking in downtown Jim Thorpe can be difficult and costs $10/car. There will be a $5 fee for anyone that is interested in carpooling so we can reimburse our drivers.
