
Lets Get Knotty
On St. Patrick’s Day, “Get Knotty” with Della Hutchison, who for years has stared at manuscripts made by Irish monks, asking, How did they do that?
Following a brief introduction, you will learn to draw Celtic knotwork using the technique employed by the original artists. This technique can be applied to almost any media: clay, leather, wood … even crochet!

- 2 felt-tip black markers: one fine and one larger size

Meet the Presenter: Della Hutchison
A love of books, history, and art intersect in the book arts of the Middle Ages. A self-taught calligrapher, Della Hutchison studies the artwork of medieval scribes and illuminators to learn their secrets. She enjoys sharing those secrets through presentations and hands-on classes.
