Student Plein Air Art Show
Artwork by local student artists will be on display at The Gallery, 15 N. Water Street, Lewisburg from November 2 through November 8.
Visitors are welcome to stop by on:
- Tuesday, November 4 from 10:00 am until 12 noon, in the evening from 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm
- Wednesday, November 5 from 12:00 noon until 5:00 pm
- Friday, November 7 from 12:00 noon until 5:00 pm
- Saturday, November 8 from 10:00 – 12:00 noon.
The artwork was created by students from the Lewisburg High School, Lewisburg Middle School, and the River Valley Nature School. The students were attending the 6th annual Student Plein Air Day sponsored by the Lewisburg Arts Council, the Union County Historical Society, and the Linn Conservancy at the Dale-Engle-Walker property, 1471 Strawbridge Rd., Lewisburg, PA. After presentations about the missions of the Linn Conservancy by Rob Robertson, the Union County Historical Society by Bruce Teeple, and about the Lewisburg Arts Council by Barbara Baker, local watercolor painter Gerald A. Heckler taught a workshop about how to paint outside (en plein air). The students then spread out around the property to paint on their own for the rest of the day.
