Photography Workshop: How to Improve Your Photos?

Presenter: Dan Hyde
Dan will cover nine tips on how to shoot better photos. He will explore the different types of lighting–front, side, and back–and when and why to use them.  He will explain the importance of the quality of light including the Golden Hour, the Blue Hour, and Soft Light.  He will discuss what influences the quality of light and how you can be prepared to use it to your advantage. He will describe several simple rules of composition.
The workshop is aimed at both beginners and more advanced photographers. Both smartphone cameras as well as “big” cameras such as point-and-shoots, DSLRs, and mirrorless cameras will be covered. Through exercises, participants will have the opportunity to practice with their own camera. A handout will be provided for review and further study.
By the end of the workshop, you should be equipped to shoot better photos.
Bring: Your camera, a flashlight, and your creativity.
