Photo Club – ‘Landscape Photography’
Join us in September as our meeting topic turns to Landscapes! We’ll cover the fundamentals that make landscape shots stand out — composition techniques like leading lines and the rule of thirds, how to work with natural light throughout the day (including the golden hour), depth of field considerations for keeping scenes sharp from foreground to background, and tips for capturing everything from sweeping vistas to smaller, more intimate natural scenes. Whether you shoot with a DSLR, mirrorless camera, or smartphone, you’ll have plenty to take away and apply on your next outing.
Photo Challenge:
This month’s photo challenge: try out one of the camera modes we covered in August’s meeting — whether that’s a shooting mode on your DSLR or a mode on your cell phone camera, just pick one that’s new to you.
Submit your photo to photoclub@lewisburgartscouncil.com at least 2 days before the meeting. We’ll display them for the group, and photographers will have the chance to share a little about their image — what drew them to the shot or how they captured it.
