June Photography Club Meeting - Aperture 'Controlling Light'

Photo Club – ‘Controlling Light’

This month, we’re taking a closer look at aperture — how it works, what it does to your image, and how to use it intentionally. We’ll cover the fundamentals, walk through a demonstration, and explore examples showing how different aperture settings can dramatically change the look and feel of a photo. Be sure to bring your camera! All skill levels welcome.

Be sure to bring your camera for a hands-on demonstration. All skill levels welcome!

Photo Challenge: A practice challenge from our May meeting on Exposure, take a photo where shutter speed was a deliberate creative choice — long or short, it’s up to you. It doesn’t need to be anything specific, just a shot where you intentionally used shutter speed to get the result you wanted. We’ll display them at the meeting, and photographers will have the chance to share a little about their image — what drew them to the shot or how they captured it.

Photos can be emailed to photoclub@lewisburgartscouncil.com and should arrive at least 2 days before the meeting so we’re all set for sharing time.
