Framing Your Photography Exhibition Prints

Are your photos ready for the Photography Exhibition? We can help you with your presentation.

This will be a hands on workshop. Limited supplies and tools will be available.

What you should bring:

• Photography prints
• Photo frames with glass or plexiglass to fit (black frame with white mat preferred)
• Frame hangers (d-hooks or similar with screws to attach to frame)*
• Hanging wire*
• Photo frame bumpers*

*Limited quantities will be available to purchase at the meeting ($1 cash/frame includes two d-hooks, wire, and bumpers)

We will supply the tools needed to assembled your photo frames.

When purchasing your frames, keep in mind that all frames are not created equal. Look for wood or MDF frames with enough room to attach a wire hanger to. The Gallery hanging system requires all artwork to be wired for hanging, sawtooth hangers will not work for your Photography Exhibition entries. If buying your frames in person, check the frames for dents or scratches, look at the corners to make sure there are no gaps in the joint, and look at the glass or plexiglass to make sure it’s free of scratches. While assembling be sure to clean the glass so it’s free of finger prints and dust. This will ensure that your photos are presented at their best and won’t distract the judges!

You can also drop off your photos during this meeting time.

Doors open at 6:30pm, we will be set up and ready to start assembling by 7pm.
