Photo Walk: Drone Show & Fireworks
Join us for a photo walk on Friday, June 26th, for an incredible photography opportunity! This year’s celebration features the region’s first-ever drone light show, followed by the county’s largest fireworks display — a perfect chance to put the shutter speed techniques we covered at our May meeting to work!
Meet at The Gallery (15 N. Water St.) around 7:30 PM, and we’ll walk over to Wolfe Field together. You can also meet us directly at the ball field behind the recycling area. Either way, that gives us time to get there, get set up, and do a quick review before the show begins.
The fun kicks off at 5 PM with food vendors and live music at 7 PM, with the drone show and fireworks lighting up the sky after sunset.
What to bring: tripod, cable release, chair, a drink, and bug spray
Can’t make Friday night? The 4th of July Veterans’ Gala Parade on Saturday, June 27th (kicks off at 10 AM at 8th & Market Streets) is a great opportunity to practice both shutter speed and aperture — stop action, motion blur, crowd shots, you name it!
And don’t forget — submit your long or short shutter speed photo for the June 18th meeting photo challenge! Photos are due at least 2 days before the meeting.
Weather dependent, of course!
