Photo Walk: Scott Kelby's Worldwide Photowalk

Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk at Mifflinburg Oktoberfest!

We’re excited to once again join Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk — the Lewisburg Photo Club has participated in this global event several times, and this year we’re photographing Mifflinburg’s German heritage at the 21st annual Mifflinburg Oktoberfest!

This FREE fall festival features the keg toss and mug lift competitions, live German band music and dancing, and plenty of German food, imported beers, and traditional dress. German immigrants settled Mifflinburg in the late 1700s, and by the 1880s the town was known as “Buggy Town” for its massive per-capita buggy and sleigh production. History buffs can also check out the Mifflinburg Buggy Museum at 598 Green Street, open Saturday and Sunday, 1–4 p.m.

Mifflinburg Community Park

Dan Hyde, our club’s founder, will lead this Photowalk. Join us Saturday, October 3rd at noon, meeting on the eastern side of the large gazebo.

Photographers are then free to explore the festival on their own, with a wrap-up back at the same spot at 3 p.m.
