Social Media Basics for Artists
Are you interested in promoting your artwork on social media but don’t know where to start? Join us for the Social Media Basics for Artists workshop to learn how to set up your social media profiles, optimize your presence, create and share events, and get some tips to create content without feeling overwhelmed by the process.
Social media is a great tool to increase awareness and communicate with customers, but it also comes with unique challenges. We’ll briefly discuss how to avoid falling for online scams that artists often encounter and how to protect your social media profiles.
We’ll cover creating content and events that will help artists who sell online, participate in local markets, or teach workshops. During this presentation, questions are welcome and we’ll use real life examples from participants to work through how you can improve your social media presence.
This workshop is led by Sarah Binder, a local artist and marketing professional. Sarah owns a jewelry business and works full-time as a social media manager at PlayPower. With experience marketing both small local shops and large national brands, she holds a BS in Business and Marketing, a BA in Studio Art, and an MBA with a focus on Entrepreneurship.
