Nature Photo Hikes by the Lewisburg Photography Club

Join us again for our popular Nature Photo Hikes on the Dale’s Ridge Trail during the Annual Plein Air Day! Registration is required. Ask your group questions about photography as you go and learn new techniques as you walk.

Members of the Lewisburg Photography Club will lead two Nature Photo Hikes on the Dale’s Ridge Trail, where spring wildflowers – including Spring Beauties, Virginia Bluebells, and Dutchman’s Breeches – will be in full bloom. There will be many opportunities to take nature photos along the trail.

Both hikes – the first starting at 11 a.m. and the second at 1 p.m. — begin at the parking lot near Strawbridge Road where the Dale’s Ridge Trail starts. Each photo hike is about 1.5 hours and is limited in size so register early! Participants must bring their own camera — a smartphone is fine. Wear proper clothing and footwear for hiking.

Join us on one of our hikes doing two of our favorite things– walking in nature and capturing its magic in photographs.

Photographers who participate in these hikes will be invited to participate in the Plein Air Show held at the Public Library for Union County in June.
